MY FIELD
TRIP AND MEET THE FOREIGN
IN
YOGYAKARTA
Hi we meet again...
Now,
i want to tell you about my field trip. For the first, I visited the tourist attraction "Malioboro
Street” at Yogyakarta. When I walk with my friends on
"Malioboro Street", I meet two strangers. Hayoo, who among you does not know Malioboro?
Almost everyone knows Malioboro, especially the people of Yogyakarta, if you
have never been to Malioboro said like a vegetable without salt ... Hahaha I'm
just kidding.. For those who do not know what Malioboro, I will explain a
little about Malioboro.
That was the name one of the available roads in Yogyakarta.
The road that was very famous around tourists who visited to Yogyakarta.
In this road, you could find plenty of traders merchandise that peddled his
merchandise. Moreover also, you could spend the night in one of available hotel
all along this road. If the night arrived, you could enjoy various typical Yogyakarta
food sorts that in peddled all along this road. You could enjoy while sitting
in the founded road pavement the mat with the family. The method like this, in
mentioned the "lesehan restaurant".
In addition to build a fort, the Dutch also built the Dutch Club (1822),
the Dutch Governor's Residence (1830), the Java Bank and the Post Office to
maintain their dominance in Yogyakarta. The rapid development occurred at that
time caused by business trading between the Dutch with Chinese. Also due to the
division of land in sub-segments of Malioboro Road by the Sultan to the people
of China and famously known as the District of China.
The city development at that time was dominated by the
Dutch in building facilities to boost the economy and their strength, like the
construction of the main station (1887) on Malioboro Road, which is physically
managed to divide the road into two parts. Meanwhile, Malioboro Road has an
important role in the independence era (post-1945), as the Indonesians fighting
for their independence in the fighting both at the North and the South side of
the road.
How can I meet two strangers? Malioboro is one of
the tourist attractions in the city of Yogyakarta which is definitely a lot of
tourists both from local tourists and foreign tourists. At that time I met two
tourists, they named Paulina and Frans. They are from France, they are only 3
days in Yogyakarta and their destination coming to Indonesia is for a vacation.
They are very friendly and humble. Paulina is very beautiful, she is also very
funny. Frans is very handsome, his smile is sweet and he has a good beard.
